Was your family involved in a major event? Did a notorious crime/disaster or a famous event take place in your hometown? Is the Beast of Bray Road your second cousin once removed? This two-part workshop will explore documentary approaches to true (& mostly true!) subjects in poetry, including ways to use outside sources and even visual elements to your work. We will look at examples from a wide range of approaches, then creating our own docupoetic poetic narratives.
